The Celtics and Warriors, the two teams that made it all the way to the NBA Finals last season, will each play in the NBA’s opening night to start the regular season. Of course, they won’t face each other, but the league will showcase two of their best teams in the league to tip off the season.

The Celtics will host the 76ers at TD Garden on Oct. 18, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania. The Warriors will host the Lakers in the other game, which will also be the ring ceremony for the defending champs. Celtics-76ers should be plenty juicy as the first game of the season. The C’s are title favorites while the Sixers will feature James Harden Joel Embiid.

The full regular-season schedule hasn’t been released yet, but the Celtics should be featured plenty after their Finals run last season. They’re reportedly set to host the Bucks on Christmas Day in another primetime game. Boston already saw plenty of nationally-televised games last season, and that’ll likely be the case next season.
